we give up...we're sick!

This about sums up how we feel...and have felt all week.  We've got horrific COLDS...not the flu, so that's a good thing.  It's so bad that Phil even took a sick day today...and he never does that.

The poor little kitty above is our dear Sophie...back in Texas.  She had just gotten up from a nap in that sunbeam from our skylights...and was sorta in a daze.  We feel like that right now!  How we miss sweet Sophie Cat...but Sunny Cat is keeping her Daddy company by sleeping with him...she thinks this sick thing is a good deal!

I've been spending the morning chopping lots of garlic & I have some pork souvlaki marinating right now...made the tzatziki sauce...more garlic...and both have lots of lemon for vitamin C...if we feel like eating, we'll have a good dinner tonight.  There has been a lot of matzo ball soup consumed here this week...which is good for what ails ya, too.

I hope y'all are healthy...just stay away from us for awhile!  We love to share, but not this cold.

Obsessed...

Maybe I need to stop buying washi tape for awhile, huh?  This isn't even all of it...I have a few sets of Cavallini washi tape that are still in their cute little tins.  I'm using this stuff...when wrapping gifts & especially in my journals...but I'm lacking in orange & purple shades...so who knows what will happen next.  Stay tuned!

Happy New Year!

May you be as happy in 2013 as a kitty grabbing for her favorite new toys!

Oh...and one more thing...The 125th Rose Parade is TODAY.  In my humble opinion, THE only way to watch it is on KTLA from Los Angeles.  Stephanie edwards & Bob Eubanks are the hosts.  In Southern CA, the parade airs over & over again all day long...it was the constant backdrop for whatever we were doing on New Year's Day.  You can now watch it streaming live on the KTLA website.  YEA!

Then...a wonderful surprise for this homesick Southern CA girl is that The Hallmark Channel is airing the KTLA broadcast on TV.  Be still my heart!  They're also airing it back to back...just twice, but that's ok.  I won't look outside at the snow & just visualize that we're back in S CA again.  THAT would be the happiest New Year!
